Help With Basics !
Hi,
I learnt what XML is about from the thousands of excellent websites dedicated
to XML.
But not even one of these sites indicate HOW to use XML.
I would like to know WHAT happens to the tags after they are
embedded in a HTML file after the browser dwonloads them.
Specifically, how does an e-business use XML when exchanging information
with another e-business? I guess both ends of the XML communication link
need special software to "extract" the
information embedded within XML tags. Am I right. If I am, then what is this
special software called? If I am wrong, can anyone correct me, please.
Thanks very much.

Re: Help With Basics !
You're right. The "special software" you use to extract the information
within the XML document is called an "XML parser." There are several
available for free, including Microsoft's XML parser, which works only on
Windows. IBM and Sun have Java parsers that work on multiple platforms, but
they're slower.
