I am so new to oracle. I have installed 9i and am trying to set up a service
and listener. I have tried the scott/tiger combination to test the service
with a listener on a specified port but I get the following:
TNS listener could not resolve service name given in connect descriptor.

I have ran lsnrctl status and found my default on port 1521 works and that
is the one I am trying connect the service to.

Am I missing something on the login information?
