I have built a WhoIs server using MicroSoft Winsock.dll. What are the risks
to my server where my server is permanently attached to the internet.

The WhoIs will only accept standard requests and will serve data from a local
database - no other processes will be invoked by the WhoIs - Its rights will
be restricted to the folder where the database is located - and will have
read-only access.
