    Report Mining


    Very interesting article spoilt by the fact that the advertised tool from
    Monarch is ridiculously priced. Perhaps some alternative and cheaper if not
    freeware resources would have added to the content of the article. I wrote
    a simple VB app that parsed a text file similar to the prn file that was
    discussed. That file was then able to be imported into Access.

    My apologies, I forgot to use my full name when posting. The Rc handle is
    used on separate disrelated newsboards. Actually, the price of "software
    tools" seems to vary enormously...the whole VS set is cheaper than one of
    the components...cf VB Enterprise vs VS Eneterprise...add-ons seems to cost
    about $500 or more. Must be a sweet point for marketing maybe. Thanks
