    Winpopup implementation

    Hello,
I'm trying to do my own implementation of Winpopup, I only want to receive
messages sent using Windows NT net send command.

I've been doing some research about this. I already know how to send messages
between machines, but when I send a message to TCP or UDP port 138 or 139
on my Windows9x machine, my application does not receive the message.

Is there any special way to handle this messages??
does anyone knows if those are the ports??
is that related to SMB message sent in my network when a use net send?? (I
saw this using a sniffing utility)

    Help, please.

    Camilo
P.D. I'm not new to VB or to WinNT networks, if that means something to the
    kind of answer. :-)

    Hi,

I am also doing a similar app and was wondering how to query the client machines
to see if they are logged in or not or if I should just error trap for the
    denied message?
