Correct me if I'm wrong, but disassemblers have been available for a lot
of languages. But not many are aware of this, or care to take the time to
learn and use them.

Actually, VB.Net has also made quite a few improvements to how desktop apps
are built too. It's the internet stuff that has received the hype.
