    I finally did it! I used code (with minor modifications) from the following
    source:

    If you can't load this page then go to http://www.planetsourcecode.com and
    search for "animated cursors".

    FWIW just be careful using code from that site. While (apparently)
    ~some~ effort is made to screen based on feedback, there's still
    plenty of crap to be had there.
