    SQL Query Analyzer

I was wondering if anyone knew what functions or objects SQL Query Analyzer used to display the results of a query... I myself was trying to use the GetRangeString function of the SQL-DMO object but it is not formatting the size of the columns correctly. Is there any way to get the same results as the Query Analyzer???

The following article on MSDN may help.

INF: How to List the Results of a SELECT Query on a Table using SQL-DMO
    ID: Q241246

Let me know if you have any luck!!!

The article actually did not help. I was looking for a way to display the entire result of the query into a rich text box much like the SQL Query does. The closest thing I can get to it is the GetRangeString function, but there are a few quirks with this function: I can't get the dashed lines under the column titles to be the exact length of the column they are always one short (just an inconvience), for some columns the length is not enough to display the entire contents of the column, and when trying to break the query up by getting an x amount of rows at a time the formatting changes after the first batch and does not line up with the rest of the columns from then on. I am not sure if there is another way, I have not tried the API functions but I am unsure as to how to use them, anyone have any ideas?
