    Processor API

    Hi there,

When I use Windows API to get processor information I get some of the
following numbers on my users' machines:
    586 Level 6, Revision 1282
    586 Level 6, Revision 2051
    586 Level 6, Revision 2054
    586 Level 6, Revision 771

I'm wondering if there is a chart that can tell me what Intel processors
these revisions and levels correlate to.

    Thanks much,
    Heather

    Hi Heather,

I think that Intel will not release details on these to the general public.
They are for internal use, and anyone out here who might know (I don't)
would be forbidden from saying. Just, IMO.

    Have you seen this?
    http://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/sourc...pl/pub/delphi2
    /ftp/d20free/aCPUID.zip

This is probly the closest you will come. I don't know what the source of
his info is, however. Have a look at the unit Acpuid.pas.
