Reports
Can anyone point me to a good tutorial / lesson (or even a book) on using
reports with VB6?
I need to run Access-like reports as well as single-page invoices and I just
don't know where to start.
Is this easier with third party tools / components?
Thanks!

Re: Reports
You will first need to figure out what report tool to use. Will Access be on
the target machines? Is it reasonable to spend $400 on a tool in your
scenario?

Re: Reports
No, Access will not be on the target machines. $400 is reasonable if needed.

Re: Reports
If by Access-like reports you mean you've already developed reports in
Access for this app and / or are comfortable with the Access report designer
I love the VS Reports utility from Video Soft (for +/- $165). You create
your report in Access and VS Reports converts it to their format (a .vsr
file) which you can use with your VB app using their ActiveX control. The
utilities worked great and the documentation was very helpful. The website
is www.videosoft.com
