    I need someone to point me in the right directions while learning VB6. For
    Example what books to read or what training materials are out there

    I recommend "Learn to Program with VB6". It teaches
    you programming, windows programming, and Visual Basic.

    Freeskills offers free online training in a lot of different areas, one of
    which is VB. You might want to check it out.
