    Wel,
If it is the question of showing "SNO" text before the recordid then add a label before the field and change its caption to "SNO"

if the problem is serious than this mail me the details

˙ I need to show record Numbers in The report.
Say for EX if There are 10 records ..I need to show˙ numbers from 1 to 10 for the Records.

    -------********************** ----------

    SNO˙ ˙ ˙ ˙ Name˙ ˙ ˙ DeptNO
    ----------------------------------------
    1˙ ˙ ˙ ˙ ˙ ˙ ˙ ABC˙ ˙ ˙ 10
    2˙ ˙ ˙ ˙ ˙ ˙ ˙ XYZ˙ ˙ ˙ 20
    3˙ ˙ ˙ ˙ ˙ ˙ ˙ KLM˙ ˙ ˙ 10
    .
    .
    .
    10˙ ˙ ˙ ˙ ˙ ˙ ˙ hhhh˙ ˙ 20
    ---------------------------------------------˙

I am getting Name and DEPTNO from Query..but how to display the SNO......

If we use label and display the Record Number ..it always dispays the Last Record Number.
