    Remote Deployment/Registration of com+

Everyone was so helpful in my last post might I also ask what is the
correct procedure for deploying and registering com+ components on remote
servers? I have just loaded windows 2000 on my development machine and
have not yet become acquainted with all the new features.

    Thanks to all of you.

You can connect to remote computers using the Component Services MMC snap-in.
From there, you can add components just like on your own machine. However, I
don't recommend it. The registration is process is not the same and you end up
    with loose ends.

A better solution is to install Terminal Services on the destination computer
(it's free with Windows 2000 Server) and then connect using Remote Desktop.
From there, it's just like sitting down at the destination computer. You can
add the components "locally" and insure that everything works correctly.

    Good luck!

    Mike--
Create a setup program using P&D Wizard and run it from the server either
directly or remotely using a remote control software like PCAnywhere. Once
this is done, you can remotely administer (create a new COM+ application,
etc.) COM+ using MMC from any computer you have access to the server.
