Hello,

I have been trying to obtain system level information from a
SQL Server 6.5 database using ADO and a system stored procedure.

I have tried the following code:

'*****************************************

With cmdConstraints

.CommandText = "sp_helpconstraint"
.CommandType = adCmdStoredProc
.ActiveConnection = cnADO
'.Parameters.Refresh
'.Parameters.Item(1).Value = strNode

End With

'cmdConstraints.Parameters.Append cmdConstraints.CreateParameter("@objname",
adVarChar, adParamInput, Len(strNode), strNode)

Set ParObjName = cmdConstraints.CreateParameter("@objname", adVarChar,
adParamInput, Len(strNode), strNode)

cmdConstraints.Parameters.Append ParObjName

'rsConstraints.Open cmdConstraints
Set rsConstraints = cmdConstraints.Execute

If rsConstraints.EOF And rsConstraints.BOF Then
bconstraints = False
Else
bconstraints = True
rsConstraints.MoveFirst 'ERROR HERE
End If

'*******************************************************

When the .MoveFirst line executes I get the following error:

"The Rowset was built over a live data feed and cannot be restarted"

I guess I am wondering what I am doing wrong... or if it is
even possible to get recordset information from this stored
procedure.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx,
Jai
