Urgent:Optimum solution for reading Tab delimited file data into a database.

    Hai,
Query: I need to import tracking log file(name of the file is like
yyyymmdd) data of MS Exchange server into database using Visual basic. The
file data is in tab delimited format. Can you suggest me a right logic for
    impoting into database.

I have used file system object,ADO 2.5 Stream object to read Tracking
log file.My file size is more than 8MB,when i read using File system object
or Stream object it is taking 20 - 30 minutes(tooooo much).

Why is it taking so much time can you suggest me some other optimum
solution for reading it into database.

My entire project is based on your suggested technology.

Looking forward for your valuable suggestion...........

    With regards,

What database are you using ? and what do you do with the data before you
insert it in table (any conversions or reformating?)
or you do just bulk insert ?
