What's the problem you're encountering? Error? If so, what is it? When do you get it?

I can't open the data base in this case. I get (*reported by the user*) the
    error message "Out of memory"

I using the CDaoDatabase object and try "open" -> this function fails.

It is the Error Code 2004 from DAO.
2 GByte RAM is to much ?

I'd be surprised. Is this application actually *running* on the NT server, or is the
database just sitting on the NT server, but running on a different client machine?

I hate to put my foot in my mouth, but doesn't anyone
remember an >>Intel<< problem ~ 3 years ago?

They were also using DAO, and encountered a problem; I don't
recall if it was DAO that couldn't handle > 1Gig, or Intel.

I'll be offline till Friday, but if you need further research, I may
be able to trace back and find the original problem...
