    Perl/VB/Unix

Just a loaded question for you all?

How might I have a VB app on a Windows box communicate with a Perl object
on a Unix box? (non-web based)

    Thanks for any [crazy] thoughts.

    rexec.

You'll find a nice control to handle this from Dart.

Or you can go totally overboard, and load a COM-CORBA bridge to do
    your conversions.

How about using TCP/IP? You could setup the Perl object as a mini-server,
and then the vb app as a client.

    Perl supports COM doesn't it?
I remember reading about DCOM for Unix ...

    Good Luck

What if I need to interact with CORBA objects on a Unix box? Is a COM-CORBA
bridge my best option if I don't want to write wrapper functions in C++?

    Thanks, Dan
