?Build a Recordset from an Existing Recordset

We have Speed up the speed of our UI by passing thousands of record keys from
a SQL server...and then, when a user refreshed a grid, tree..etc... we query
the server using the key and build the view for the user. When we are ready
to report...we only have the record keys to pass to the report module.

We haven't been able to re-engineer the original recordset from this recordset
of keys. We originally tried to pass all of the keys back to the Server,
into a temp table, build the temp table from the original table based on
the keys, and then execute a SQL statement to make a new Fully Populated
Recordset...but the process of passing the keys back to the server took too
    much time.

We thought of Data Shaping, but we havevn't been able to append a recordset
to a recordset that is already open. Is there any way to Build a RecordSet
from a Recordset? Or, Is there any way to establish a parent child relationship
with a Recordset that is already open?

If anyone has any input on this I would love to hear it.....thanks

Re: ?Build a Recordset from an Existing Recordset

You can build another ado recordset from an existing recordset. then pass
back the new recordset. Check vb help for creating a stand alone recordset
    and populating it with values.
