Packaging Problem
I recently purchased a new control, added it to my application, created an
.exe and then packaged it. However when it came to running setup, I received
an error message.
"c:\windows\system\MSVCRT.DLL
An access violation occurred while copying the file"
Does anyone have any idea how this problem is caused and how to rectify it.
Cheers

Re: Packaging Problem
Are you installing this on a Windows NT machine?
Just as a side note, are you using the PDW? I hate that thing with a passion,
I have nothing but problems with it. The alternatives are realtively expensive
(free vs. $250+) but well worth it.

The file is in use by the machine running the setup. I called Microsoft on
that one before and found the solution is to move that and any other files
retutning that error during the bootstrap section of setup.lst and renumber
the files after that so they are in proper sequence.
