    Hi Bill,
I tried to do what you told me to, but then i checked my DCOM config with
DCOMCNFG.EXE utility, and it still has my server application name on the
    list.
And, also when i looked at the available references on VB, the ActiveX exe
that i created was still there which should've been removed by the /unregserver
    switch above?

    Any other suggestions...

    Regards

Unregistering a VB created exe server removes the ProgId entry which effectively
prevents the server from launching locally or remotely. The entries you see when
you run dcomcnfg are created during registation under the HKLM\AppId key and
provide access information for remote applications and security control. Your
server is now effectively unregistered and you can confirm this by trying to run it
from a client. You will get error 429 - "ActiveX cannot create object". The
behavior you observe is normal for VB applications. If it really bothers you, you
can use RegEdit to delete the appropriate entry in HKLM\AppId, but be sure you know
    what you're doing.
