    how can change the field size or the field name of any table from my database

    look at the ADOX stuff.

    don't know if this will do it, never actually tried, but this is where the
    object model for reading this kind of info is, and I would bet it also lets
    you modify this kind of info...

    You can use the following ADOX code to change the name, however I don't believe you can change the
    size without dropping the field:

    'Engine Type=4 is Access 97 and a value of 5 is Access 2000
    cat.ActiveConnection = _
    "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;" & _
    "Data Source=d:\My Documents\db1.mdb;" & _
    "Jet OLEDB:Engine Type=4;"

    cat.Tables("Table1").Columns("Field1").NAME = "Column1"
