VB6 App displaying GreenTree "Demo" screen

    Hi,

I have a vb6 app that uses the GreenTree grouplist control for system navigation.
It's been fine but all of a sudden - the Greentree "Demo" screen is displayed
the first time any item of any group (of the grouplist control) is clicked.
I can get around it by installing the Greentree develoment software on the
client (it's only used to resolve the problem - not for development and that's
okay with GreenTree). But I'd rather fix the problem without that workaround.
Greentree hasn't responded and I've run out of ideas. Has anybody else
had a similar problem or have any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance --John

I can't say for certain since I don't use Greentree software, but they should
have provided you with a REG file as part of the runtime requirements for
the control. This would contain the key for the control to recognize that
it isn't in Evaluation mode. Still I'm surprised they haven't responded with
the registry information you need to distribute your application. :/

    Steve,

I found Registry info plus name, company, CD-Key etc in an Install Log that
got built (C drive) during the install, but I can't find anything on the
CD that has that info . . . I guess it's encryped. Still coming up blank
    - - but thank you for the suggestion
