    Need Help With Scrolling

To anybody who might be able to help....

I'm very new to visual basic and I was hoping somebody might be able to
give me some advice. I've recently been asked to create a teleprompter
program, and I'm having a hard time getting started. Before I even get
started, I need a few questions answered.
First off, is there anyway to create scrolling text in VB 6. By scrolling,
I mean much the same method as seen in movie credits....scrolling without
having to be manually pressed up and down.
Second, if the above is feasible, is there any way to set up the program so
that the text speed can be changed on the fly.

Thanks in advance, and once again, any help will be more than appreciated!

I can be reached at phshelp@email.com

    Rob,

There may be a third party active-x control that would do the trick.

My thought is to dynamically create labels using the add method of the controls
    collection of the form object.
    Form.Controls.Add

You can fire this event from a timer control. Upon creation, move the new
label into position and assign it a name. You will need the name so it can
be destroyed when it reaches the end of the form. You can set the position
by using the top and left properties. You can cycle each label down the
form on each timer interval until you reach the bottom of the form where
you will destroy the last label.

There may be more sophisticated and elegant way of doing this. Yet, the
    aforementioned provides a simple solution.
