    form inside another form

Is there a way to open a form inside another form, so that the child form
that gets opened appears inside a picture box or something like this. I
don't want to open another form on top of my main form, but I want it to
display inside the main form. Any help is appreciated.

    Dan,

What you are describing is called a Sub-Form, and is EASILY done in an Access
application (using VBA), and NOT at all possible with Standard VB. The major
difference is the though they LOOk the same, the underlying Forms Engine
(the internal working that make Forms possible), is TOTALLY different between
    Access and VB.

Not sure exactly what you are trying to do, but you can create MDI (Multiple Document Interface)
forms which are contained within a parent window.

There is also a code example for an ActiveX component:

You may use SetParent API function.

    You might try www.dietel.com
They have source code in VB6 and VB.NET that does exactly this, and it comes
from examples from their text(which should be downloadable from their web
site). Look for Chapter 13, example 37 and 38 from their VB.NET example code.

He, he, he ... No, thanks. I've done it long time ago. Besides, I like doing things on my own. :-)
