    Data type

When I use Number and choose Long, the number I input rounds off. What data
type can I use to support a 9 whole number and 2 decimal numbers. I need
these formats because I will convert the mdb to dbf format.

    Thanks in advance
    Emy

    Re: Data type

Long is an integer (whole number, no fractions). Try Double, it allows decimals
to many places. The Currency data type is also good because it only allows
4 decimal places, but I'm not sure how that would convert to .dbf

I had responded to this in your ealier post concerning edit masks:

" Long Integer datatypes do not hold decimal data, its the
whole number that gets stored. What you need to use is
    Double. "

    Was this confusing?
