    NT Authentication / RDO

    Newbie Question:

    We are looking to move our application over to strictly use NT authentication
    for access to SQL Server. Currently, we use RDO for data access. If the
    SQL Server account is set for NT authentication.....do I just no longer need
    to pass the login and password as part of the connect string? For example:

    .ConnectString = "DRIVER=SQL Server" & _
    ";SERVER=" & sDSN & _
    ";UID=;" & _
    "PWD=;" & _
    "DATABASE=" & sDatabase

    Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Re: NT Authentication / RDO

    In ADO you just do
    cn.connectionstring = "Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;Integrated Security=SSPI;Persist
    Security Info=False;Initial Catalog=test;Data Source=local"
    using the key words "Integrated Security=SSPI" tell its to use NT
    authentication.
    "Initial Catalog=" is the equivalent to "DATABASE="
    "Data Source=" is equivalent to "SERVER="

    I think you should be able to use this for RDO as well.
