Edit LDB file
I am looking for a tool to edit the ldb file of an Access '97 Database. Does
anyone have an idea where I can find this?
Re: Edit LDB file
By edit do you mean open for veiwing? Access does not allow you to actually
modify the file. It uses this file to manage record locking within the database.
It is created when the database is opened and deleted when the last user
closes the database. (In Access 2.0 the file was not deleted).
Microsoft has a couple of utilities available for download that help you
read this file. The self installing file is called Jetutils.exe
Goe to their site and search MSDN for article # Q176670 or click on the following
Watch out for the line wrap. It's all one long line.
