I am trying to log messages to the Event log using the RegisterEventSource and the ReportEvent API functions. I am able to log a message by calling these functions, but before my message, I see that it says the description for the EventID could not be found. This is inspite of calling RegisterEventSource. Could anyone please tell me what might be wrong. I know it has something to do with registering the event source, but am not sure how to do it.
