Embedded visual basic
I have a ms word document with macro control combo box. Combo box doesn't
work in pocket word. How can I run that on Pocket PC?

Re: Embedded visual basic
Hi,
I don't think that you can. The PPC version of Word doesn't include VBA --
after all, this (the PPC) is a very small computer; the applications that
work on it are often less capable than their desktop equivalents.

This is true. However, it often strikes me that less than ten years ago I
was developing in VB3 and Excel VBA for Win16 on a 33Mhz 486 PC with 4Mb
RAM. Yes, everything ran a little slow, but we put up with it at the time.
Now Pocket PCs run at at least 133Mhz and on at least 16Mb RAM. And their
applications generally have much less functionality than their Win16
ancestors. The only exception I can think of is in terms of multimedia, but
who can hold their hand on their heart and honestly tell me that they want a
Pocket PC principly to be an MP3 player or streaming video viewer. Funny
thing is, if I load a DOS emulator onto my WinCE 1.0 machine (3Mb RAM
allocated for running programs, processor speed comparable to my old 486,
proper keyboard) I can get Lotus 1-2-3 2.1 up and running blisteringly
fast - beats the **** out of the execrable Pocket Excel 1.0 ;-)
