Running an App from CD
I have an application which I need to run, self-contained, from a cd. How do I achieve this ?
Thanks in advance.

you make the autorun.ini to point to your .exe
the only thing that you should keep in mind is not to make any files on the app folder. I sugest using a temp file in the systemdir or a temp folder, somewhere, which you delete afterwards.

You can't do that in VB5 or 6, because they need some DDLs registered in the system, and not everyone will have them.
I had a similar situation in the past, because I wanted to make a CD with an autorun. I made it in VB4, and copied the needed DLLs in the CD, and worked with no problem. You could use VB3 too, it needs only VBRUN300.dll.
Or you can do it with other language, like C++ or Delphi.

Javier
