    Calling API from VB.NET

I'm reading an article from MSDN, http://www.msdn.microsoft.com/msdnma...net/vbnet.asp,
and it says that code written to run exclusively under the control of the
CLR is called managed code. Older code that relies on Win32 API is known
as unmanaged code but Visual Basic.NET is only capable of producing managed
code. Based on those statements, is sounds like VB.NET doesn't support calling
the Win32 API. Is that true or is the author of the article wrong?

No, it's not true, you can call out to unmanaged DLLs. But I wouldn't
say that the article author is wrong. You don't need the ability to
produce unmanaged code to call unmanaged DLLs.
