    I didn't see anything about "dumbing down Visual Basic", except in the
    title. Nor did I see any evidence that C# was going to become more
    Java-like. It sounds like the author is just trying to be controversial to
    increase interest in his story.

    Simplicity - I love it. Mind you it all seems contrary to what I've been
    reading about VB7. Time to install Beta 2 I guess.

    Of course other people may think a sign of a good programming language is
    when you need 13 steps to add two numbers.

    z = x + y;

    1 + 1 = 2. What language needs 13 steps? Wow that would be pretty crappy.
