C# and J# ?!
What is the difference between C# and J# ?
I am confused because i thought that microft wants to replace java with C#
and now there is a beta version for J#.

C# is MS's new ECMA standard langauge that borrows heavily from C/C++/Java
(and a couple of concepts from Delphi).
J# is essentially a version of J++ for the .NET platform. It accepts the
Java-esque language that J++ did but produces .NET code rather than Java
bytecodes.
Unless you have J++ migration needs, best to give J# a miss IMO. Especially
since there is a rudimentary Java-to-C#/.NET code conversion tool from MS
too. Disappointingly, it only works for JDK1.1.x and even then it isn't a
100% reliable. It's developers ArtinSoft plan an Enterpri$e version.......

Re: C# and J# ?!
The two languages, C# and J# are very similar. C# was a cross between C++ and Java, in an attempt to replace Java (as you say). But
remember that dotNet is also about allowing developers to develop in any language. J# is so close to C#, that it likely require
minimal effort on Micro$ofts part to product. So, it was worth the effort.
