A few facts you left out:
MSDN Library support is already gone.
Starting in 2005, "users will have to pay, and the level of support
will be reduced, until the product is retired in 2008."
The main focus is forcing migration to .NET.

So is VB6. You did keep your old MSDN (and VB6) discs right?

I am not surprised. Any company offering free support forever can count me
out as a customer. I *know* they won't be around to fulfil that promise...

What evidence can you provide to support this statement?. And no, the
opinion expressed by another _person_ in the article isn't evidence. "Forced
migration" suggests coersion and lack of alternatives....
