preventing the carige return from reloading page in ie

I have a form that when a carige return is hit after entering data into a
text input form element, the page reloads. this dosent occur in Netscape
only in IE. Does anyone know how to turn this behavior off?
    thanks in advance,
    Dan

Personally, I've always considered it a bug that Netscape doesn't submit the
    form on RETURN/ENTER.
Should use TAB to move to the next field in the form.

    Hi,
You will have to trap the onkeydown/onkeypressed events and return false
if the key value is Carriage return...
