I've spent weeks fooling with the things and I can't seem to make them cooperate.

Typical things I'm trying to do are:

1) Add a combo box to a column
2) Show only a subset of the records (WHERE EmployeeID = 12)
3) Show additional information about the records in an uneditable join
4) Keep more than one datatable in the dataset

I can make examples where any one of the above works... but when I try to
combine all the features together into a "real" application I get bogged
down in fixing all kinds of subtle bugs... and even when I get things to
work, performance drops, I can't save changes, or something else goes wrong.

The resulting code also seems to be unnecessarily complicated-- especially
considering how fast and easy this sort of thing is in Access.

Any suggestions/advice?
