Chat Application Development VB.NET Compatibility
Dear developer friends,
I am planning to develop a Chat application similar to ICQ(one to one chat)
.It'll be used on the internet.I am presently planning to use MSWinsock library
of VB.NET and other resources.I am afraid in future there will be issues
like Cross Platform independence.I would like an advice over this and if
possible what tools should I look upto for buliding this application.

You should consider using .NET's System.Net.Sockets namespace. In fact,
