access denied, opening a new browser window
Anyone had this problem?
On Window 2K I'm using IE5.01(5.00.2920), the one that comes with windows.
Whenever there's a script line of code that attempt to open a new browser
window, the browser pops out with an error message: "access is denied".
I can't seem to find a place in which I can change permissions for this.

Re: access denied, opening a new browser window
It's not code-related, it's just whenever there is an attempt of the browser
to open a new window (the javascript code could look like this: <A
href="javascript:window.open(..... ) etc.)
It's something to do with permissions on the browser, or on windows itself.

Re: access denied, opening a new browser window
Try upgrading to the newest script engine and see if that makes a
difference.
www.microsoft.com/scripting

Re: access denied, opening a new browser window
I tried installing the new IE5.5 beta which I presumed contains the latest
scripting components, but it didn't solve the problem. I think it's more of
a system level setting.
Any thoughts?

Re: access denied, opening a new browser window
Someone posted a similar problem in one of the MS IE NGs. I think he said
it was a permissions issue in WIn2K that was causing the problem.
