    Distributing Files

I am using Packaging and deployment Wizard to distribute a project using VB
    ans Access.

I want to copy certain files onto a particular directory on the target m/c
    (after creating the directoy).
I want the "install location" for certain files to be on "C:\myproject".
The install location on the Package and deployment Wizard shows only apppath,
syspath, programfiles and some others. But How to create my own directoy
    in the target m/c.

Can it be done by writing a simple Visual Basic program to make the directory
and copy the desired files from the CD.

But on that case how to attach this program before the Setup program?

Can anybody suggest how to do it ?

This problem was already discussed several times here. The simplest way is
just to add a dummy file when you create deployment package. After that
deployment wizard gives you the possibility to add a path for this file (during
the installation this directory will be automatically created).

Thanks Adrew for yr effort. But I could not solve the problem. Ca

I have included a dummy MSWord file when creating deployment wizard buy it's
not asking for the path of the WORD file to be included.

    Please elaborate it

    Thanks
    Ajendra

    Ajendra,

Ok, now I understood you. You need to do some programming. Check my page

    http://msnhomepages.talkcity.com/Win...in/vb3_p2.html

From this example you will get the idea how to change and upgrade code of
the Setup1. Do not forget that it is just VB project and you can change it
    as you want (not exactly).
