Web system monitoring - what are the options?
I'm trying to sort through the options for monitoring a Microsoft Windows
network with some Unix and Linux running specialty services. I've looked
at OpenView, BMC, Proactivenet and Tivoli, but I'm not seeing anything that
meets all my requirements. My main criteria are keeping the cost down, it's
got to be customizable and it's got to be easy to maintain. What is everyone
else using?

Take a look at SiteScope from a company called Freshwater Software. I was
able to download it from their website and was up and running in a few minutes.
It had everything I was looking for and was very affordable.
