Multiple columns in a select tag

How can I put multiple columns in a select tag?

I am retrieving two columns from a database and want to put them both in
a select tag so that the columns line up on the left.

    TIA
    Nate

You may have to combine the text before creating the the option.
    i.e.
    <%
    response.write "<select>"
    response.write "<option>"
    response.write oRS("firstItem") & " - " & oRS("secondItem")
    response.write "</option>"
    ...
    %>
