Detecting Adobe plugin installation
In IE is there a way to detect if Adobe Acrobat Plugin is installed?
For Netscape I could simply use the plugins array, but it is very
well known to many people that the array does not work for IE.
In IE, to check real player for example, I could easily do
some thing like:
rp = new ActiveXObject("rmocx.RealPlayer G2 Control");
alert("Real player is not installed");
I do not know what would be the ActiveX object for Adobe, if there is one?
I searched too many places in vain.
I would greatly appereciate any help or pointers.
