"Permission Denied" error while opening/compiling a project

I work in Visual Basic 6.0 Enterprise Edition with Visual Studio SP5 in Windows
    2000 Professional SP1.

I get a "Permission Denied" error, while trying to open/compile a project.
I thought it to be a licensing problem. To fix it I installed vbcmpfix.exe
and vb6cli.exe. Still could not avoid this error.

If the user is added to the local administrator's group, I don't get this
    error.

    Please advice on this. Thanks.

As you have indicated yourself this is a rights/ownership issue. You can
check this by opening the .vbp with notepad/wordpad and trying to save it.
It has probably nothing to do with VB.

    Hi Huibert,

Thanx for your reply. I had already checked the rights for that project.
I can assure you that, this is not due to rights/ownership problem. Because,
I am accessing the project from a server. Only when a user belongs to the
local administrators group, can he open/compile the project.

Note : The user should belong to the administrators group of the client PC
    and not the server.

Kindly advice me on this. Thanks.
