    How to Write/Read from Text Files at Client Side.


    Dear All

    Can some guide me how one can create text file at client side.

    E.g. I have a form where one button there. Whenever any user cliks it, it
    genrate a text file at client machine with text "HELLO".

    This is a question more involved with security than DHTML. This is not possible
    unless you are creating cookies (which are essentially text based files)
    on the client. There are good reasons why browsers do not support such activity
    through scripting. This is possible however if they download vbscript and
    run it on their machine (separate from the page).
