Getting hold of folder's path - something similar to map file for uploading

Hi Folks!
I have a question in HTML and JavaScript for you. Can I a browse
a path using a browse button into folders on the computer and get hold of
the path to a folder( Note: not file, rather folder). I have an application
which has field for storing the path to the destination folder. An earliest
reply would be very helpful
