I implemented a script in a server that runs in a Windows 2000 Server. The
script store the remote user (with RMUSER variable) in a cookie. This worked
fine untill Wednesday. Thursday, the server started to do weird things. When
the username starts with some character, the scripts fails. The characters
are b, t, n, r, f, u ,and x. Checking the cookie, instead of displaying:

usr = newuser

it display,

usr =

The script is replacing those character with the corresponding escape character,
ie. backspace for b, hexadecimal for x, newline for n, etc...

The code was not change, and I suspect that someone change the configuration
on my server. Does anyone knows why it doing this? I repeat, this was working
fine on Wednesday. It started to do this on Thursday.
