    txt files vs. access db

I have a db created in Works. The user wants to continue using works, but i need to access the db in my application. Would it be better to read the file after its exported to a comma delimeted file or should i export to txt file and import to access and read the files that way. yes, I do want to stop using Works but for now I have to work aorund it.

MS recommended way is to export to dbaseIV file and import this into Access. Personally I would just export it to dbase and use this as the file.

I've never had a problem importing text files into Access; never did anything with dBIV, so I can't say if there is any advantage or diadvantage. My guess is the text files will be smaller, and easier to compress if that is needed.
