    counters...oui!

My client is asking for a counter on his site. I am opposed because I can
view those stats, and I think displaying them on a home page is...well...I
don't like it. How can I display a counter for the home page on an admin
    page?

Instead, why don't you allow the client to view their own stats (the stats
    that you can view)?
