Problem Publishing Web Pages
Hi guy's
Not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question but has anyone had
any problem trying to publish webpage to Internet Information Server using
the publish function in Frontpage 2000.
Basically the dialogue given by the system says that the pages can't be published
because the Frontpage server extensions are not installed. However when
I check IIS setup Frontpage servers are installed.
I could FTP the files to the server but I want to make it as easy as possible
for other user to update and add pages to website.
Anyone any ideas how to solve this one.
Thanks in advance
Mike

Raj:
Hi Mike,
U can solve this problem using Third party tool ASPUpload dll.
Procedure:
Make a seperate folder in the Web folder, keep all files which requires frequent
update/add.
Make a Directory structure to download from the front end i.e.,
Keep all foldernames in a listbox and when u click download for a selection
it should display file listing in that folder
then u can download particular file to update into ur local machine and then
Upload it again from another page which is having same Directory structure.
In this u need to have the
permissions from the server so U can give NT Authentication
for that particular file. See Examples in www.ASPUpload.com.
Try the trail version first.
Good Luck
