VFP distributed app's via Visual Studio Installer
Hello
I tried last week to use Visual Studio Installer 1.1 to put a
VFP 6 application (ie with it's own exe file) on to a CD ROM.
When I ran setup.exe (from the CD) on my PC it worked fine.
However, when other people tried to run it on their PC's they
just got an error message (like "cannot find XXXXX.msi") and
the installation stopped itself
I since figured out I haven't set the Visual Studio Installer
to build installation files to check to see if the Installer is
loaded on the client PC or not.
How can I fix this and how can I test installations on my own PC
without having to uninstall either VFP or Visual Studio
Installer?
Thanks

Re: VFP distributed app's via Visual Studio Installer
For testing your installations, you might want to look at www.vmware.com.
Vmware will enable you to run a virtual machine on your PC. This means that
you won't need to keep uninstalling either VFP of VSI.
I don't use VSI for my installations, I use Installshield instead so I can't
help you with your second question.
